Julie McClure bigger
In February of 2015, Julie M. Bigger, CFP® founded Cypress Business Consulting with the intention of offering fundamental business services to help support small to medium sized businesses and offer consulting / project management to larger businesses.
With over 18 years of experience building, supporting, and managing businesses, both for profit and non profit, Julie is highly experienced in business operations, bookkeeping, employee benefits/payroll, multi-year business budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
Julie holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER. She began her early financial career working as a financial planner and then portfolio manager.
From October of 2006 through December of 2012, Julie served as the Director of Finance for the Headwaters School, a private, non-profit high school in Austin. She created and managed the school’s Accounting/Tax, Human Resources, and Finance Department from its downtown beginnings of one campus of 23 employees to three campuses and nearly 100 employees.
In December of 2012, Julie began working for Jesse James, famed founder of West Coast Choppers. She assisted him from ground up to starting his newest business venture, Jesse James Firearms Unlimited, a successful Austin based firearms manufacturing company.
She made the decision to start Cypress in January of 2015 having acquired comprehensive experience with nearly every aspect of business development and administration.
When not working, she likes to learn new things and take advantage of what Austin has to offer: live music, running outside, visiting with friends, and new events as they arise. She also enjoys traveling & exploring the world with her husband and has studied or volunteered abroad in much of Latin America.
